The Capital City of Negros Oriental
Such a nice place! So much to see and do here in Dumaguete! It is very convenient Gateway City to explore the beaches, dive spots, eco-adventures and nature trip of the Province, the island of Siquijor,
the southern tip of Cebu Island, and of Northwestern Mindanao.
Bud-bod is basically sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf, like a suman, have it with native tsokolate. Another one is Puto Maya with a bit of tsokolate on it. It is basically sticky rice or like champorado :)
Rizal Boulevard
The scenic waterfront promenade along Rizal Avenue. This is one of the most beautiful and most
captivating landmarks in the city.
Landing of the first Sisters of St. Paul
Sans Rival Bistro
We enjoyed breakfast outside while watching the view of the ocean. The restaurant location is easily accessible and is facing the famous Dumaguete Rizal Boulevard. A perfect place to sit down and relax. Don't dare to resist their famous Silvanas or their house specialty Sans Rival, their best seller! They also offer cookies, cakes, pastries, pasta, specialty dishes and drinks, they come in cheap prices :) I love their Silvanas, perfect with coffee! Your Dumaguete trip is incomplete without having some of it.
And of course don't forget to try their native delicacies in one of "painitan" section of the Dumaguete City Public Market. Don't worry! It's easy to walk around this market and the alleys are dry & clean.
